You shed all meaning like an old old coat

A long long journey that begins in doubt.

Lose hell, lose incense, lose celibacy.

Too tight,  too tattered, musty, out of style.

Just the facts please lose the mystery.

I sat my Mom down on my green bedside.

"I need the truth mom," I said with a gulp

& she explained life to me then.  She lied.

"Santa brings most of the presents. We help."

You leave your faith by realizing how

it's the tail that wags the dog.

Leave Sin. Leave sacrifice. Leave prayer (& god).

That wasn't a garden; it was a jail.

Time's never been an easy path no doubt;

by the time you get to you, you're all out.
